The competition is open to all citizens from all the 27 EU Member States. It consists in designing a cover for the Europa diary, a publication aimed at young people, distributed in all 27 countries of the European Union, which covers topics such as environment, consumer affairs, responsible consumption, and the European Union itself.
The cover should not contain any text, and should be suitable for distribution to young people aged 16-18 in all countries of the European Union. Each participant may submit multiple entries. The creator of the best entry will receive 1,000 Euros.
The deadline for submitting entries is 15th November 2007
The European Science Week will be held in November: however the 4 projects which the European Commission is fuding this year will be running several activities throughout the whole of 2007.

It is the world's largest international conference on technology supported learning and training. The highlights of this year will include Web 2.0 linked to Education 2.0, Future Learning in Higher Education, Designing Teaching and Learning with Digital Media and Tools, and E-Learning in the Corporate and Company Context.

Is the Internet a positive or negative element in today’s world? Are mobile phones only about “connecting people”? Can we believe everything we see on the internet? Do we behave differently online than in the “physical” world? How does our behaviour impact on the online environment?
Answer these questions and join the competition. Groups of children and young people from 5 to 19 years of age can join this competition open to schools, leisure clubs, youth groups, training institutes, etc. Participants should work in groups and create an awareness message on the safe and ethical use of information and communication technologies, namely of the Internet and mobile phones.
Contestants should be inspired by the theme “Life online is what You make of IT” and show how the behaviour of users has an impact on the online environment.

Taking the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue as an inspiration and springboard, the seminar will look at both the themes of culture and dialogue and what happens at their point of interrelation.
The 3 day programme will provide a platform for sharing of opinions, for learning about different youth work realities, for increasing the horizons of youth leaders on the topic, and for being inspired by the local intercultural community approaches. The seminar is addressed to youth leaders and workers from all Youth in Action Programme countries.
